Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Mountain driving expertise. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Drive lighter, special purpose trucks. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Pay and receive payments for goods. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AZ class license. Air Brakes Endorsement. Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Type of trucking and equipment: Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles). Tractor-trailer. Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Long-haul. Provincial/territorial. Security and safety: Valid passport. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel cross-border. Willing to travel for extended periods. Willing to travel overnight. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Sitting. Experience: Experience an asset.- LocationBrantford, ON
