Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Hot. Work setting: Wood products manufacturer. Furniture manufacturing company. Tasks: Set up, program and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines. Operate gluing machines to glue pieces or wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces. Operate preset special purpose woodworking machines to fabricate wood products. Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions. Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Safety equipment/gear. Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat.
