Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Jewellery store. Tasks: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables. Set up and adjust production machineries/tools. Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance. Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments. Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances. Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools. Measuring tools: Micrometers. Callipers. Gauges. Equipment and machinery experience: Drill presses. Filing machines. Milling machines. Shapers. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines. Repetitive tasks. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Overtime required.
