Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Urban area. Tasks: Accompany students during school and extracurricular activities. Assist in school library or office. Help students individually or in small groups with assignments and reinforce learning and retention concepts under the supervision of classroom teacher. Perform other duties assigned by school principal. Supervise students during school and extracurricular activities. Monitor students during recess and lunch hour. Assist students with integration into the classroom and school setting. Assist with classroom inventory. Monitor and report student progress to classroom teacher. Assist teacher in the operation of projectors, tape recorders and other audio-visual or electronic equipment. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Personal suitability: Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills.
