Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. Hot. Wet/damp. Work setting: Rural area. Staff accommodation available. Tasks: Greenhouse cleaning. Level earth to fine grade specifications. Mixing fertilizer. Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops. Weeding. Fertilize and spray crops. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting. Maintain work records and logs. Perform general farm duties. Write daily basic progress reports. Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings. Report signs of insect or disease damage. Pot and re-pot plants. Mix and prepare soils. Dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs. Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Clean work area. Budding trees. Cut horticultural crops. Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts. Tie and secure plants. Supervision: Chainsaw and skidder operators. Type of product: Coniferous trees. Deciduous trees. Native plants. Perennials. Seasonal plants.
