Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform emergency roadside repairs. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Experience: Will train. Support for newcomers and refugees: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees. Support for youths: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment. Support for Veterans: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Veterans . Support for Indigenous people: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people.
