*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed safely and efficiently. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, dependability and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members on-site. *Duties* - Assist in the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris and setting up necessary equipment. - Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed for various projects. - Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled tradespeople to complete tasks effectively. - Operate hand tools and power tools safely under supervision. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency. - Help with the installation of construction-related tasks as required. - Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety protocols. *Skills* - Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects. - Knowledge of construction practices and tools is preferred but not required. - Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. - Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. - Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to construction work. - Ability to follow directions accurately while working independently or as part of a team. *Compensation* * Full-time employment * Compensation between $20-$24 an hour (based on experience) * Health care spending account after 6 months * Employee Assistance Program * Yearly boot allowance after first year * Future Apprenticeship opportunity Valley Home Improvements, based in Markdale, serves job sites typically within a 45-minute radius.
