Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Information technology (IT) consulting. Tasks: Assign IT projects to systems analysts, programmers and other computer technicians. Coordinate IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services. Direct and control daily operations . Evaluate daily operations . Plan and organize daily operations. Recruit staff. Review operational reports to assess compliance with software and hardware requirements . Supervise computer analysts, engineers, programmers, technicians and other personnel . Supervise staff. Train staff. Meet with clients to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. Manage incidents. Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support.
