*Overview* *Work 40 hours per *week*.* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Long Haul Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight across long distances while ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively. As a Long Haul Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our supply chain and ensuring customer satisfaction. *Responsibilities* - Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport freight over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. - Manage delivery schedules and maintain accurate logs of hours driven, mileage, and fuel consumption. - Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or issues encountered during transit. - Handle loading and unloading of freight, ensuring proper handling techniques are used to prevent damage. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle while performing routine maintenance checks as necessary. *Skills* - Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver?s license 1A - Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and regulations. - Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently. - Familiarity with automotive repair basics to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road. - Experience operating forklifts is a plus for loading and unloading freight efficiently. - Excellent time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing schedules or routes. - Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
