Acting Field Technician<p> (1 position/1.00FTE) <p> Salary Range: $1,151.25/week -$ $1,316.34/week <p>Hours listed are current, but may be subject to change*<p>8:00 am 4:00 pm <p>Contract: ASAP to no later than August 31, 2025<p>The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) is a dynamic Catholic school board committed to the delivery of quality educational programs and services from a Catholic faith perspective. DPCDSB, one of Ontarios largest school boards in Ontario, is comprised of approximately 73,000 students enrolled in 151 schools (125 elementary and 26 secondary) throughout the diverse GTA municipalities of Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon, and Orangeville. DPCDSB employs approximately 8,000 faculty and staff to deliver and support its Catholic educational mission.<p>Position Summary Under the direction of the Supervisor/Designate, the Field Technician (FT) is responsible for supporting a variety of computer technologies in the School Board at multiple sites. Support is facilitated through onsite visitation and remote connectivity. The FTs primary role is to support and maintain clientside computer technologies. The FT will also troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, and assist with selected end-user training and orientation where applicable. Maintaining confidentiality is a requirement of this position. This description is a summary of the typical functions of the job and is not to be considered an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible job responsibilities, tasks, and duties<p>Basic Qualifications: The basic qualifications for this position include: Diploma from a recognized post- secondary Institution in Computer Science, or Information Technology or a combination of education and experience<p> A minimum of one (1) year working in a system support role in Information and Communication Technology<p> Proficient in the use of Board provided computer-based technologies to create, manipulate, store and retrieve information, and communicate with others<p> Enterprise experience in Service Desk Ticketing and managing tools <p> Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle<p> Professional Information Technology (IT) certification is considered an asset (e.g. Microsoft Technology Associate MTA)<p> Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) <p> Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) <p> Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) <p> Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC) <p> Google Certified Administrator<p> Experience Administering Enterprise Mobile Management solutions such as AirwatchAnd Evidence from previous work history of satisfactory attendance and punctuality Visit www.dpcdsb.org for more detailsTo be considered for this position, please forward your resume and a covering letter October 18, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. quoting File: Acting Field Technician detailing your experience and qualifications, by e-mail, to: DPCareers@dpcdsb.org (Word format).
