Job details
Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Various locations. Chronic or long-term care facilities/centres. Tasks: Assist health care professionals. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Follow through on treatment programs with patients. Help physical therapists. Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine. Set up and dismantle equipment. Administer evaluative tests and procedures. Clean and maintain equipment. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Assist chiropractor with patient health education. Maintain clinical and progress reports. Maintain supplies. Confer with other health professionals. Connect treatment machines to patients, as directed by chiropractor. Maintain inventory of equipment. Assist chiropractor with physical examinations. Document patient rehabilitation progress. Perform general clerical duties. Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Office. MS Outlook. Area of specialization: Physiotherapy.
