Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Dusty. Work setting: Waste disposal and refuse systems. Tasks: Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Dig ditches and trenches. Use specialized equipment to determine the location of buried pipelines and other utilities in preparation for seismic exploration and drilling activities. Implement records scheduling and disposal plans. Dig ground to expose gas lines. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Stone slinger. Hydrovac. Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Mining design specialization: Waste and tailings disposal. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Overtime required. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication.
