Intermediate Structural Engineer www.thecornerstonegroup.ca *Role Description* We are seeking a talented structural engineer to join our team on full time position. This hybrid position will allow for flexibility and involve a mix of working on-site, in the office, and from home. This position will have a range of engineering responsibilities. You would also be conducting design tasks, reviewing shop drawings, performing field reviews, and other tasks under the supervision of Senior Engineers. Tasks will include but not be limited to: * Supporting the preparation of BIM models and drawings. * Conducting the design of structural elements under the supervision of Senior Engineers. * Conducting field reviews and in-office construction administration of structural construction. *Requirements* * Registered as an Alberta EIT or PEng with a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering. * Working knowledge of the structural portions of the National Building Code of Canada as well as Canadian concrete, steel, and wood codes. * Proficiency with the following or similar software required: RAM Concept or SAFE, Forte, S-Concrete, ETABS, SAP2000 or STAAD. * Ability to read and understand architectural and structural engineering drawings and efficiently develop accurate and detailed drawings within project schedules and deadlines. * Proficient with the Microsoft suite, including developing design tools using Excel. * Understand structural engineering principles and apply them to structural design tasks. * Self-motivated with excellent written and oral communication skills. * Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at a time. * Minimum 4 years experience in structural engineering design and consulting required.
