We encourage all employees toward a holistic career with events such as, community outreach, social team-building activities, lunch-and-learns, company BBQs and our Book Club. *[ a day in the life of a structural engineer at co-elevate ]* * Run computer model simulation and hand verification on multi-story structures under the guidance of a seasoned professional engineer * Conduct drawing review to ensure conformance to designs and seal drawings as needed * A daily break for a game of Table Tennis is always welcomed * Attend co-elevate?s group events such as potlucks, lunch & learns, book club, etc. * Participate in one of co-elevates charity causes such as blood drives, toy drives, food drives, or seasonal in-house charity events * · At the end of a long day, it is commonplace for our leadership to send staff members home to ensure work-life balance *[ what we seek in a structural engineer ]* * Experienced in the design and construction of multiple structure types and materials (steel, wood, masonry, concrete, etc.) * Process computer model simulation and hand verification on multi-story structures under the guidance of a seasoned professional engineer * Able to learn new structure types, heights, and configurations * Working knowledge of structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP, S-FRAME * Contribute to the development of junior engineersby providing engineering guidance and facilitate full understanding of the project(s) * Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and develop steps for their proper execution * Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions * Account for potential project issues and proactively problem solve * Conduct drawing review to ensure conformance to designs and seal drawings as needed * Attend a stand-up meeting with your scrum team to discuss yesterday?s challenges and plan for the day?s tasks * This role may require some overtime hours on occasion * Ability to undergo applicable screening * Own transportation and/or a valid driver's license *[ The minimum qualifications, experience and skills are required ]* * Bachelor?s Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering from an Accredited University * *Minimum 4 years* related work experience * An understanding of the Ontario Building Code * Strong attention to detail; mathematical and analytical aptitude * Strong oral and written communication skills * Excellent organizational skills * Adept at functioning in a fast paced, multi-disciplinary consulting environment * Ability to acquire and understand new information (i.e., structure types, building heights and configurations *[ benefits ]* * Competitive salary and performance-based bonus * Competitive health, dental, long-term disability, extended health care, life insurance coverage * Four weeks paid time-off (including- LocationLondon, ON
