Perks!</span></strong><span> </span></span></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></p> <ul> <li><span><span>Competitive salary, with overtime available</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Excellent benefit package with premiums paid by the company</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Tool allowance </span></span></li> <li><span><span>Uniform, safety boots/shoes, safety gear provided</span></span></li> <li><span><span>RRSP Match</span><span> </span></span></li> <li><span><span>Safety-minded organization</span><span> </span></span></li> <li><span><span>Stable, year-round employment</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Continuous training, learning and development opportunities</span><span> </span></span></li> <li><span><span>Fun-loving work environment with strong social responsibility</span><span> </span></span></li> </ul> </div> </div><div> <div> <p><strong><span>Successful candidate will be a Cooper employee, reporting to Branch Manager, working full-time on Glencore site at 1 Longyear Drive Garson, Ontario.</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong></span></p> <p><span><em>Duties and Responsibilities:</em></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span>Conduct scheduled mechanical maintenance and inspections for equipment such as man lifts, forklifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, floor sweepers, excavators, and skid steers and rail shunter.</span></li> <li><span>Co-ordinate sub-contractors to complete the requirements associated with annual inspections, including but not limited to NDT Technicians, emissions testing, wash bay attendants.</span></li> <li><span>Respond to unscheduled mobile maintenance (breakdowns) to start or repair vehicles and equipment that are disabled.</span></li> <li><span>Complete required paperwork and documentation in a timely manner.</span></li> <li><span>Maintain a clean work vehicle and work area as necessary to maintain a safe work environment.</span></li> <li><span>Follow all company and work-site policies and procedures, and governmental and equipment related safety requirements.</span></li> </ul> <p><span><strong>What You’ll Bring to the Team</strong></span><br><span><em>Qualifications and Requirements:</em></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span>Must be a fully licensed Truck and Coach or Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic (310T or 421A license).</span></li> <li><span>Must participate in drug and alcohol testing required to enter the work site.</span></li> <li><span>Valid G driver’s license with clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract.</span></li> <li><span>Minimum of 5 years of experience diagnosing and repairing various construction equipment such as man lifts, forklifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, floor sweepers, excavators, rail shunters and skid steers.</span></li> <li><span>Must be available to work on-call as needed.</span></li> <li><span>Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.</span></li> <li><span>Must have own tools.</span></li> <li><span>Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with colleagues, customers, and other parties in a professional and courteous manner.</span></li> <li><span>Pride in what you do! </span></li> </ul> </div> </div><p><span>Want to learn more about this as well as other opportunities at Cooper?
