The Element by Westin Calgary Airport & Four Points by Sheraton Calgary Airport is conveniently located in Calgary?s Northeast near 16th Avenue (HWY 1), Deerfoot Trail (HWY 2), and Sunridge Mall. Our nearly completed 301 room hotel complex features a full service restaurant, lounge, and approximately 9,000 square feet of convention space.
We are currently seeking candidates for the position of ?Guest Services Manager?. The successful candidate's responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities include:
* Leading and contributing to the highest level of customer service of the property
* Ensuring timely and proper responses to guest inquires and service issues
* Assist with the management of the operations of the front office department
* Establish and maintain close working relationships with all departments of the hotel to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service
* Develop relationships with clients, return guests, group contacts, etc. to provide maximum personalized guest service and make suggestions for improvements in overall operations with an emphasis on increasing guest satisfaction, revenues, as well as reducing cost
* Working closely with the housekeeping and maintenance department to maintain service and condition of the property
* Keep assigned hotel associates well informed of current hotel metrics and other related scores.
* Support and participate in all hotel programs, policies, and procedures
* Work closely with Sales to maximize revenue, occupancy, and rates.
* Notify all departments of any fluctuations in business levels, special guests, groups, etc.
* Ensure that proper image is being maintained by all team members relating to grooming and uniform standards
* Respond properly and take a supervisory role in any hotel emergency or safety situation
* Demonstrate excellent leadership skills
* Work closely with all departments to ensure all details of the contract are delivered and guests expectations are satisfied
* Balance operational, administrative and associate needs
* Meet and greet clients in the evening and/or weekends as required
* Participate in the property's MOD program
* Continually contribute to the financial and operational goal of the property
* Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, as required
* Help coordinate and support training objectives
* Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years of previous front desk experience in a supervisory/management role
* Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
* Able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
