Perks!</span></strong><span> </span></span></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></p> <ul> <li><span><span>Competitive salary, with overtime available</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Excellent benefit package with premiums paid by the company</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Tool allowance </span></span></li> <li><span><span>Uniform, safety boots/shoes, safety gear provided</span></span></li> <li><span><span>RRSP Match</span><span> </span></span></li> <li><span><span>Safety-minded organization</span><span> </span></span></li> <li><span><span>Stable, year-round employment</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Continuous training, learning and development opportunities</span><span> </span></span></li> <li><span><span>Fun-loving work environment with strong social responsibility</span><span> </span></span></li> </ul> </div> </div><p><span><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong></span></p> <p><span><em>Duties and Responsibilities:</em></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Inspect, service and maintain a diverse fleet of construction equipment including (but not limited to) earth-moving equipment, compaction equipment, and aerial equipment such as telehandlers, boom lifts and scissor lifts.</span></li> <li><span>Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment malfunctions and make required repairs.</span></li> <li><span>Test repaired equipment for proper performance.</span></li> <li><span>Maintain documentation of inspections, maintenance and work orders in a thorough and timely manner.</span></li> <li><span>Adhere to all company Health and Safety Policies.</span></li> </ul> <p><span><strong>What You’ll Bring to the Team</strong></span></p> <p><span><em>Qualifications and Requirements:</em></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Red Seal Mechanic required – heavy equipment or truck and transport.</span></li> <li><span>Minimum of 1 – 2 years of mechanical experience, preferably working on a variety of construction equipment.</span></li> <li><span>Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract.</span></li> <li><span>Must have a complete set of tools (or working on building a complete toolset).</span></li> <li><span>Must be willing to work overtime as required.</span></li> <li><span>Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.</span></li> <li><span>Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, and motors.</span></li> <li><span>Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.</span></li> <li><span>Excellent problem-solving skills.</span></li> <li><span>Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with colleagues, customers, and other parties in a professional and courteous manner.</span></li> <li><span>Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.</span></li> <li><span>Pride in what you do!</span></li> </ul> <p><span>Want to learn more about this as well as other opportunities at Cooper?
