On-site fabrication. Retrofit. Tasks: Measure and mark sheet metal according to template. Cut materials using power tools or by hand. Estimate costs and materials. Fit and join sheet metal parts. Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Construction specialization: Industrial, commercial and institutional. Specialization or experience: Copper or metal roofs. Custom sheet metal items. Eavestroughing and flashing. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads. Repetitive tasks. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
