<p><strong>Intermodal Dispatcher</strong><br> The Intermodal Dispatcher will be responsible for working directly with drivers to assign loads, dispatch, and track / trace cargo.<br> <br> <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Job Type: Full-time (Overnight shift)</span></strong><br> <br> <strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Dispatch drivers and monitor equipment status to ensure pickup and delivery standards and other customer requirements are met.</li><li>Communicate to driver (pick-up and delivery standards), shipper and consignee locations and any special customer requests.</li><li>Monitor driver location status and provide help and assistance as necessary to protect pick-up and delivery standards.</li><li>Prioritize the assignment of equipment to customers.</li><li>Manage the productivity and profitability of the Intermodal fleet by monitoring equipment availability and managing costs.</li><li>Ensure solid understanding of Transport Canada and Compliance matters, providing help and information as necessary to ensure the driver stays qualified and available for dispatch.</li><li>Address and resolve problems with shipments in transit in a timely manner.</li></ul><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to Dispatch 25+ Drivers in Fast Paced Environment</li><li>Knowledge of pick-ups & deliveries out of QC/ON.</li><li>Knowledge of pick-ups & deliveries from QC Rail Yards</li><li>Strong Computer Skills to Check Availability; Return of Empties; Communicate with clients.</li><li>Strong Organizational Skills to adapt as to what the day brings and maintain control jobs at hand.</li><li>Strong communicator with drivers and team player with coworkers</li><li>Knowledge of Drayage Regulations.</li><li>5 years of previous dispatching experience (Required).</li><li>French- English Speaking (Required)</li></ul> <br> <ul><li>Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Intermediate Excel and Word skills)</li><li>Strong communication skills in French and English, both spoken and written</li><li>Good organizational and time management skills</li><li>Team player</li><li>Autonomous and dynamic</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills</li></ul>- LocationSaint-Laurent, QC
