We are currently seeking a primary Chef to join our team who is positive and proactive. The individual in this role must have prior experience in a professional kitchen, as well as management experience, advanced knowledge of the culinary arts, be willing to work on Sundays, and have the ability to work a flexible schedule. The ideal person will be good at working with others, thoroughly enjoy the food industry and have a passion for creating tasty dishes. Responsibilities: * Work in a restaurant, hotel, or other food service establishment. * Manage a group of kitchen staff. * Manage a group of wait staff. * Create and implement a marketing plan for your restaurant. * Research and understand new culinary techniques and food trends. * Train and discipline kitchen staff. * Train and supervise wait staff. * Follow health laws regarding food preparation and storage. * Make sure that the restaurant follows health laws regarding food preparation and storage. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Freelance *Qualifications* * Food preparation experience * Cooking skills, especially in Indian cuisine * Previous experience in Tandoor and Curry cooking * Team management experience in a restaurant setting * Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations * Bartending or serving experience is a plus * Supervisory experience preferred * Certification in hospitality or related field is beneficial Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.96-$27.30 per hour Benefits: * Language training provided Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Evening shift * Monday to Friday * Night shift * No weekends * Weekends as needed Experience: * Cooking: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Food Handler Certification (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationNiagara Falls, ON
