Job details
PDSCL is looking for a Temporary Part Time Health Care Aide to support our residents at Chestnut Place - Assisted Living, Penticton.
The Registered Health Care Aide is responsible for effectively supporting residents in an Assisted Living complex. Assists residents in daily activities, including personal care and medication administration.
*The Schedule will be as follows:*
*Wednesday: 10:00 pm - 8:00 am*
*Thursday: 10:00 pm - 8:00 am*
*Friday: 10:00 pm - 8:00 am*
*Every other 2nd Saturday: 10:00 pm - 8:00 am*
The successful candidate must be a BC Registered Care Aide, with a registry # and be in compliance with BC Provincial Health Order Protocols.
Qualifications:
* *BC Registered Care Aid Certification*
* *Minimum of a diploma or equivalent certification in a college level training program related to care aide,*
* *Valid CPR/First Aid,*
* *Satisfactory criminal record check-working with vulnerable adults,*
* *Foodsafe Certificate,*
* TB Skin Test,
* Medical clearance,
* Code of ethics and confidentiality form.
PDSCL *does not *participate in the BC PNP Immigration Stream.
*Summary*
As a Health Care Aide with a focus on caregiving, you will be instrumental in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in need. Your premium skills in assisted living, patient care, and hospice care will enable you to support patients with diverse needs effectively. With relevant skills in cleaning, meal preparation, and medication administration, you will ensure a safe and comfortable environment for those under your care. Possessing First Aid and CPR certifications, you will be well-equipped to handle emergencies and provide immediate assistance when required. Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $27.92 per hour
Expected hours: 30 ? 40 per week

* PENTICTON, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

* At Chestnut Place, a Licensed Health Care Facility that operates in line with Interior Health, it is mandatory for all staff to have a Negative Tuberculosis Skin Test. You will be required to provide this for your second stage of Onboarding. Will you be able to obtain/provide this for this position? Yes/No
