*Scope of Position:* The Housekeeper shall provide housekeeping and other services to residents in a safe and efficient manner, according to the policies and procedures of the Home. *Key Responsibilities:* * Provides services and interacts with residents and resident family members in a professional manner * Participates as a member of the maintenance team and provides support to the other members of the team * Projects the appropriate image and focus on customer service in their dealings with residents, families and guests * Perform cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping * Provides personal laundry services for residents in accordance with established work routines * Operates and cleans equipment, furniture and cleans and maintains all areas related to residents and staff as per work routines * Observes and adheres to all policies and procedures, work standards and safety regulations * Assists and attends to the needs of the residents as required * Maintains work and storage areas in a clean, safe and sanitary manner * Other related duties as assigned *Qualifications:* Education/Experience: * Previous experience in housekeeping and/or laundry services * Must be able to read and communicate effectively * Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions * Demonstrated empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors * Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints * Must be able to operate related equipment * Must be able to respond to emergency situations * Must be able to stand for extended periods of time as well as lift and carrying heavy trays and items Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $17.27 per hour Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Work Location: In person- LocationCornwall, ON
