*Overview* We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction processes and be skilled in estimating project costs accurately. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. The Construction Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to deliver precise estimates that support our construction projects. *Responsibilities* * Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects by analyzing plans, specifications, and other relevant documents. * Utilize estimating software to generate accurate pricing for materials, labor, and equipment. * Collaborate with project management teams to assess project requirements and develop comprehensive bids. * Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing and terms for materials and services. * Conduct site visits to gather information on project conditions and requirements. * Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and contracts for future reference. * Monitor industry trends and changes in material costs to adjust estimates accordingly. * Assist in the preparation of project budgets and financial forecasts. *Requirements* * Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential. * Proficiency in using estimating software. * Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing strategies. * Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. * Exceptional negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes with vendors and subcontractors. * Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost estimation. * Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
