*Overview*
We are seeking a skilled *Intermediate or Senior Inventor Drafter* to join our dynamic drafting department. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, customer-focused individual with experience in 3D modeling and drafting using *Autodesk Inventor*. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of drafting experience, particularly in structural and architectural design, and will be responsible for developing detailed 3D models and technical drawings for a variety of projects across North America. The Drafter will collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
*Responsibilities*
* Prepare detailed 3D models and technical drawings using *Autodesk Inventor* from conceptual designs to working layout details.
* Analyze architectural and structural plans, engineering data, and project specifications to determine the optimal design elements such as clearances, tolerances, and layouts.
* Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and customers to ensure project requirements are met accurately and efficiently.
* Ensure drawings adhere to company standards and best practices for 3D CAD models and layouts.
* Modify and update models and drawings in response to revisions, comments, and customer feedback.
* Create material take-offs from drawings and models.
* Maintain a high level of detail and accuracy in all drafting assignments, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and regulations.
* Assist in developing and maintaining drafting standards and templates to improve workflow efficiency.
* Continuously look for ways to improve automation and efficiency in drafting processes.
*Requirements*
* Diploma or degree in *Computer-Aided Design* or related field.
* *Minimum 5 years of experience* in drafting, with a strong emphasis on *Autodesk Inventor*.
* Familiarity with other drafting software such as *AutoCAD* and *Revit* is an asset.
* Experience in 3D rendering and working with structural and architectural components in commercial buildings.
* Strong proficiency with *Bluebeam*, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrently.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with proven problem-solving abilities.
* Experience in a fabrication environment with *CNC software* and knowledge of steel and concrete construction methodologies is an asset.
