The *Langley Concrete Group* has an immediate opening for a qualified and safety oriented *Truck Driver *with a *Class 1 License with air brake endorsement and Crane Operator Certification *working out of our Chilliwack BC manufacturing and distribution facility. The position of Truck Driver in the Langley Concrete Group of Companies is considered that of a professional. The driver is trained and licensed to obey the laws which apply to their job by legislation and regulation with attention and obedience to these rules an absolute necessity. The lives of the driver and others are dependent on the driver?s attention to detail and consideration of the equipment he or she is operating. It is up to the driver to perform their job duties safely, professionally and within the law with minimal direct supervision due to the nature of this position. The Truck Driver is an integral part of our customer service goals representing the company throughout the entire workday and is a part of our service team. They must perform their job safely and reliably, but also represent the company in a professional manner, to be a quality assurance person and a customer service representative. Communication with dispatch, sales and production must be a priority to ensure that effective information transfer is encouraged between the different areas of our company and that it occurs in a timely manner. This position requires a qualified person who can demonstrate the following key job competencies including but not limited to: * Operating the company provided trucks and/or trailers efficiently, safely and profitably to the best of their ability. * Maintaining a customer service oriented attitude while dealing with customers, fellow employees, and the general public. * Operating the truck mounted crane safely yet swiftly to efficiently offload our products within the working limitations of the crane and regulations of government agencies. * Performing basic maintenance on the truck and crane, specifically lubrication and adjustment items required by manufacturer?s recommendation to allow daily operation of truck, crane, and trailer. * With permission of Maintenance Supervisor and Dispatcher, performing more in-depth maintenance to the ability of the driver, time permitting.Loading your own truck and or trailer where time permits and when certified to operate the appropriately sized forklift for the products to be loaded to minimize waiting time. * Maintain a clean truck, trailer and crane inside and out to promote a good corporate image and maintain a healthy working environment. Qualifications for this role include: * Current valid B.C. Class 1 Driver?s License with air brake endorsement. * BCCSA Crane Safe Operator Certification required. * Current clean N Print drivers abstract with no suspensions or violations. * Excellent English language reading, writing, speaking and listening skills To be considered for this role, please submit your application to us as soon as possible.
