Upper Village is a busy and growing practice located in Midtown Toronto. We are seeking a dedicated, experienced veterinary Receptionist to join our team. Our individualized and comprehensive approach separates us from the rest, we take great pride in our patient-veterinarian relationships and always put our client?s wellbeing at the core of our work.
We are a modern and clean facility with paperless medical records. One of our top priorities is focused on communication to build and maintain strong relationships with our clients. Our receptionists are a vital part of those relationships ? they are the first point of contact and therefore, a highly valued part of our health and client care team.
The successful candidate will be passionate, empathetic and have outstanding interpersonal skills along with a positive, cheerful and friendly demeanor. Candidate must be an enthusiastic team player who is reliable, comfortable and ready to multi-task, navigate phones and computer software (ezyVet) as well as working independently when needed.
*As a veterinary receptionist, you will be responsible for:*
· Greeting clients and their pets with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
· Communicating empathetically, effectively and accurately to maintain excellent customer service
· Relaying information from client to veterinarian and/or other clinic partners
· Answering phone calls and emails professionally & compassionately to fulfill clients? needs & inquiries (scheduling appointments, placing orders, answering questions)
· Maintain front desk & reception area cleanliness
· Reception sales & transactions
· Assist veterinarians or technicians in animal restraint
· Participate in team building that fosters a strong, inclusive & transparent staff team
· Must be able to carry 25lb +

· Have previous customer service and reception experience
· Proficiency in basic computer skills, knowledge of ezyVet a plus!
· Possess skills and knowledge in animal restraint

· Full time
· Monday - Friday
· Late Morning/Evening Shift (11:30 am-6:30 pm)
· Rotating Saturdays (4-hour shift)
