<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>We are seeking a <strong>skilled and certified 310T Technician </strong>for our client in Kingston, ON. As a Truck and Coach Technician, you will be responsible for performing inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and buses. You will ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant with all regulations.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Perform routine inspections on trucks and buses to assess mechanical and electrical conditions.</li><li>Use computerized diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults in engines, transmissions, and other systems.</li><li>Conduct road tests to evaluate vehicle performance and diagnose issues.</li></ul><p><strong>Repair and Maintenance:</strong></p><ul><li>Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including overhauls and rebuilding.</li><li>Maintain and repair braking systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.</li><li>Adjust, replace, or repair components of the vehicle's drivetrain and transmission.</li><li>Service and repair steering, suspension, and cooling systems.</li><li>Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid level checks.</li><li>Replace or repair damaged parts, including bodywork and interior components.</li></ul><p><strong>Safety and Compliance:</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.</li><li>Adhere to environmental regulations regarding the disposal of hazardous materials.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.</li><li>Follow workplace safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.</li></ul><p><strong>Customer Service:</strong></p><ul><li>Communicate effectively with customers and explain the nature of repairs and maintenance required.</li><li>Provide estimates for repair costs and timelines.</li><li>Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and timely repairs.</li></ul><p><strong>Operational Efficiency:</strong></p><ul><li>Keep work area clean and organized.</li><li>Manage inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring availability for scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs.</li><li>Collaborate with other technicians and support staff to ensure efficient workflow.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications and Skills:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Education and Certification</strong></li><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>310T Truck and Coach Technician certification.</li><li>Valid driver's license; commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>Technical Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and vehicle components.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a truck or heavy vehicle mechanic.</li><li>Experience with a variety of makes and models of trucks and buses.</li></ul><p><strong>Soft Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent attention to detail.</li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills.</li><li>Effective communication and customer service skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to lift and move heavy objects.</li><li>Comfortable working in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and crouching, for extended periods.</li><li>Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings and in hot or cold temperatures.</li></ul><p><strong>Shift Timings:</strong> 4PM TO 12AM.</p><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Truck and Coach Technician: 3-5 years (preferred)</li></ul><p><strong><span clas
