Full Time Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Transport finished goods and raw materials to clients in a safe and timely matter Follow all client property rules and regulations when on client propertyInspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues Perform preventative maintenance (ie: Oil change)Schedule maintenance and repairs on equipment as neededPlan routes and meet delivery schedulesDocument and log kilometers driven and retain fuel receiptsComply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and proceduresManeuver trucks into loading or unloading positionsCollect and verify delivery instructionsReport defects, accidents or violations as soon as they occur to your safety dispatcherReport technical issues with clients to your administrative dispatcherPerform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspectionsEnsure cargo is secured properly and is compliant with safety requirementsAcquire oversize permits on applicable deliveries through SGI Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Proven work experience as a truck driverHands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, Google Maps)Ability to drive long hours and travel regularlyExtensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulationsNo recent driving violationsAdaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)Willing to submit to criminal record checks, drivers abstract, and provide employment recommendationsValid 1A truck driving licence **All candidates must provide a Driver's Abstract and certification of Transportation of Dangerous Goods upon application** Applicants who do not provide a recent Driver's Abstract will not be considered for the application.- LocationEsterhazy, SK
