*Job Title: Assistant Manager ? Shell Gas Station* *Location:* Westlock, AB *Position Overview:* We are seeking a motivated and dedicated *Assistant Manager* to join our team at Shell. The ideal candidate will assist the Station Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving business performance. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the gas station and convenience store. *Key Responsibilities:* * *Operational Management:* * Assist in managing all aspects of daily operations, including fuel sales, inventory control, and convenience store operations. * Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards. * Oversee staff scheduling, payroll, and performance management. * Assist with the implementation of promotional activities and ensure product pricing is accurate. * *Team Leadership:* * Supervise, train, and mentor staff to maintain high standards of customer service and operational efficiency. * Handle staffing issues, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations. * Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organized, and customer-friendly environment. * *Customer Service:* * Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and timely manner. * Ensure that staff are attentive and responsive to customer needs. * Foster a positive customer experience to drive repeat business. * *Financial Responsibilities:* * Assist in managing station budgets, tracking expenses, and meeting sales targets. * Conduct daily cash reconciliations and bank deposits. * Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels, ordering supplies as necessary. * *Compliance & Safety:* * Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. * Perform regular audits of the site, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials and maintaining a safe work environment. * Ensure the team follows all procedures regarding fuel dispensing and storage. *Qualifications:* * Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in a retail or fuel station environment is preferred. * Strong leadership and communication skills. * Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. * Customer-focused with a passion for providing high-quality service. * Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. * Knowledge of financial management and inventory control. * Proficiency in MS Office and POS systems. *What We Offer:* * Competitive salary * Opportunities for career growth * Training and professional development * Supportive work environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 ? 40 per week Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Monday to Friday * On call * Weekends as needed Experience: * Inventory management: 1 year (required) * Gas Station: 2 years (required) Work Location: In person Application deadline: 2024-11-08 Expected start date: 2024-11-08- LocationWestlock, AB
