*Our Company* We are a progressive bookkeeping and tax practice, founded on providing our clients advanced bookkeeping / tax solutions and the latest in technological integrations, all with best in class service. *Job Overview:* We are seeking a skilled Income Tax Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in tax preparation and a strong understanding of accounting principles. This position offers an opportunity to work with a diverse client base and contribute to the success of our firm. *Duties:* * Prepare and file federal and provincial tax returns for individuals (T1) and businesses (T2) * Conduct thorough reviews of financial records to ensure accuracy * Provide tax planning advice to clients * Assist clients with tax-related questions and concerns * Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations * Apply accounting and tax knowledge to identify issues, suggest alternatives, and implement required actions * Apply problem solving skills to identify incorrect client entries and correct them *Experience:* * Canadian Income Tax Experience: 3 years (Required) * Effectively utilizes available tools in the performance of assigned duties (Caseware, CCH iFirm, Quickbooks (Desktop and Online), Outlook, Word, Excel) * Proven accounting skills (Accounting Diploma preferred) * Completes assigned work with a minimum level of supervision * Team Player, open minded, and always looking for efficiencies * Effectively communicates with clients and co-workers (written and oral) If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and taxation, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity!
