The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Full-Time (1.0 f.t.e.) Temporary Grade Four Teacher at École Springfield Elementary School. This position will commence immediately and continuing until January 23, 2025. The initial assignment will include teaching elementary grade four subjects.<p>École Springfield Elementary School is located in the Town of Peace River and has an enrollment of approximately 320 students. Programming at the school consists of English, French Immersion and French Second Language programs for Grades K-4 students. <p>Qualifications: <p><p> BEd, primary focus preferred<p> Evidence of life-long learning or continuous professional development that is reflected in classroom practice<p> Evidence of effective use of technology for communication and teaching practice<p> Effective pedagogical strategies in both numeracy and literacy in primary grades<p> Inclusion mindset and practices<p> School wide involvement<p> <p> <p> <p><p> Additional Skills: <p><p> Experience in primary classroom<p> Short, mid and long range planning<p> Strengths-based focused, pro-active teaching and management<p> Effective and balanced assessment strategies<p> Solution focused collaboration skills<p> Community and family-focused, including building the school community<p> Assets: outdoor education focus, play-focused classroom strategies<p> Previous experience developing Individual Program Plans for students<p> This school offers French programming to its students, therefore, knowledge of the French language is considered an asset.<p><p>Requirements: <p><p> Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate<p> Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check <p><p>Please note, record check must be less than six (6) months old to date of your application.<p><p><p>This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is secured.
