Feed Rite Automation is an expert in custom automated parts feeding systems. With over 20 years of experience in building one-of-a-kind orientating equipment for the Food, Drug, and Automotive Industry, our services include every aspect of the design and manufacture; from engineering to machining, fabrication, electrical, and assembly. We are looking for a person to join our family-like team in a brand-new state of the art shop in Burlington. Your touch will be on each project throughout the manufacturing process, building sub-assemblies and the final assembly before testing and delivery. We pride ourselves in pushing the boundaries of parts feeding technology and we are looking for someone that shares that passion for pulling off the impossible. The Role
· Read and interpret drawings and blueprints for assemblies and sub-assemblies
· Fit and assemble machined metal parts and sub-assemblies to build heavy industrial machinery using bolts, screws, clips, and solder with hand and power tools, and equipment
· Verify dimensions on various pieces of machined metal parts, equipment, and assemblies
· Complete assemblies and installations using cables, tubes, and wires (electrical and pneumatic)
· Document and report defects with designed parts
· Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and organized, performing basic preventative maintenance on equipment
· Operate parts feeder on trial runs to adjust machine settings, cycle times, etc., to ensure it meets customer specifications
Work with others in the shop to collaborate and problem solve
Other duties as required
What We Are Looking For
· Strong problem-solving skills with mechanical aptitude
· Effective verbal and listening communication skills
· Ability to read schematics and blueprints
· Experience working in a fast-paced shop
· Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time
· Must be able to work independently and as a team player
· Minimum two (2) years experience
