<div><p><span><span><span><b><span><span><span>Details of the position</span></span></span></b></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span>Job title:</span></span></span></span></span></p><p> Student Supervisor</p><p><span><span><span><span><span>School / Centre / Department :</span></span></span></span></span></p><p> Alexander Galt Regional High School</p><p><span><span><span><span><span>Location :</span></span></span></span></span></p><p> Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), Quebec</p><p><span><span><span><span><span>Workload :</span></span></span></span></span></p><p> 2.5 hours per week</p><p> Monday to Friday from 8:45 am to 9:45am</p><p><span><span><span><span><span>Salary :</span></span></span></span></span></p><p> $24.17 - $26.30 per hour</p><p><span><span><span><span><span>Supervisor :</span></span></span></span></span></p><p> School Principal</p><p><span><span><span><b><span><span><span>Nature of the work </span></span></span></b></span></span></span></p><p>The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in ensuring that students adhere to the school policy on discipline. </p><p><span><span><span><b><span><span><span>Description of tasks</span></span></span></b></span></span></span></p><ul><li>Supervise students in the school and its buildings to ensure that rules are observed and that students are safe.</li><li>Make rounds, give warnings, observe, and report any abnormal situations to the persons designated</li><li>Greet and direct students and visitors</li><li>Explain regulations</li><li>If necessary, give his or her advice concerning the drawing up and evaluation of regulations</li><li>May supervise students during exams, in detention, or isolation rooms, or in the classroom, when the teacher is absent for a short period of time</li><li>Supervises students during the arrival and departure of school buses as well as on the bus</li><li>Supervise students in the cafeteria</li><li>May be required to help students with eating, dressing, get around</li><li>In conjuncture with teachers and the students services staff, participate in carrying out and supervising student activities. </li><li>Make sure that the necessary material and accessories are available for certain activities</li><li>Within his or her competence and according to school policy:<ul><li>Maintain a safe environment, particularly in stopping fights and other acts of aggression</li><li>Assist the school administration concerned when conducting locker or student searches</li><li>Notify the police and works with the latter</li><li>May be called upon to act as a witness in court</li><li>Participates in preparing accident and theft reports </li><li>Administers first aid</li></ul></li><li>Locks and unlocks rooms and gates</li><li>Assign lockers and locks; ensure return of locks</li><li>View the security camera feeds used for nighttime surveillance and notify administration of any abnormal situation observed</li><li>Participate in monitoring absences<ul><li>Collect absence lists</li><li>May be required to enter data and carry out the compilation requested</li><li>Issues and compiles late slips and so informs the administration according to the procedure established</li><li>Call parents to inquire about student absence</li></ul></li><li>Perform any other related duty. </li></ul><p><span><span><span><b><span><span><span>Desired profile</span></span></span></b></span></span></span></p><p>Meet one of the following profiles:</p><ol><li>Hold a secondary school diploma</li><li>Hold an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority and have one (1) year of pertinent experience in those areas requiring self-discipline, general concepts in psychology and human relations skills. </li></ol><p><strong>Other requirements:</strong></p><p>Hold a certificate dated no more than three (3) years attesting to the successful completion of:</p><ol><li>a st- LocationSherbrooke, QC
