We are committed to the same values and traditions that have served our customers for the past 50 years. We have an immediate opening for a Shipping/Receiving for our Mississauga branch. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the logistics of receiving, processing, loss prevention and storage of inventory. He/she also ensures that shipping schedules are met to guarantee on-time delivery, all the while ensuring that our daily operations are the most cost-effective, of the highest quality and using the safest method. *MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITES* *Receiving* * Assist in loading and unloading merchandise from trucks ; * Inspect, count and verify incoming merchandise against purchase orders. * Record shortages and damaged goods. * Process incoming merchandise in the computer system. * Sort and place merchandise on shelves according to our organizational procedures. * Operate a reach forklift. *Shipping* * Print and manage work orders for shipments and pick-ups. * Pick, package, and ship orders accurately. * Complete waybills and other shipping related documents. * Usage of third party?s internet shipping program. *Associate* * Maintains safe and clean workplace environment by keeping racks, aisles, and workstations neat. * Adhere to all safety policies, identify, and report unsafe work practices or conditions. * Perform daily cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels and help maintain computerized record-keeping systems. * Assist in the annual inventory count to ensure comprehensive and accurate stock assessments. *Skills and competencies* * High school diploma minimum * Ability to operate a reach-forklift. * Good communication, time awareness skills and some mathematics easiness * Basic computer proficiency is required. * Dependable and reliable * Team player and results-oriented * Detail oriented with organizational skills. * Ability to work under tight deadlines. *Physical Demands* * Ability to regularly lift or move heavy merchandise from 50 to 100lbs. * Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and squat during extended hours * Good vision is important for small details and numbers Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40 per week Benefits: * Casual dress * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * Paid time off * Vision care Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday * No weekends Experience: * Performing cycle counts: 2 years (required) * Shipping: 3 years (required) * Receiving: 3 years (required) * Inventory management: 3 years (required) * Warehouse: 3 years (required) Work Location: In person- LocationMississauga, ON
