All interested applicants are welcome to apply. <p>Key A ccountabilities <p>Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor for their assigned area: Responsible for an established preventative maintenance routine for TCDSB building automation systems<p> Inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing of pneumatic and electronic (DDC) building service controls, computer-based systems, System Extended Architecture (BACnet) and associated equipment to ensure devices are fully functional and operational<p> Familiarity with open protocols such as BACnet/N2 Bus <p> Programming of building automation systems<p> Repairing and installation of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems controls<p> On site in servicing of caretakers<p> Responsible for the safe operation and safekeeping of tools supplied by the Board, safe operation and maintenance of company vehicle while in use<p> Maintain accurate records (e.g., vehicle maintenance, work orders, timesheets, etc.)<p> Perform other job-related duties as assigned or required<p> The use of proper safety protective equipment is required at all times<p> Act as the Board representative, coordinate and attend project meetings with the users, project managers, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction <p> Perform other duties as assigned or requiredRequirements Must have a community college diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Technician (Industrial), Electronics Engineering, HVAC, Mechanical/Electrical Technologist Diploma or a related field<p> Minimum of five (5) years practical experience in Building Automation, Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and pneumatic control systems<p> Knowledge and experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) including communications protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP, etc.; and Installation of controls hardware, instrumentation, and other related devices<p> Familiarity with Tridium's Niagara AX and Niagara 4, Metasys, Honeywell, JCS Dx-91000, Automated Logic systems and software<p> Ability to write sequence of operations for heating and ventilating systems<p> Ability to read and draw schematic drawings plans used for troubleshooting<p> Ability to repair and install electronic controls systems (hardware)<p> Knowledge of Windows-based computer systems and computer networks <p> Ability to work independently<p> Must have a valid Ontario Driver's G license<p> Must be proficient in the English language (both written and verbal) in order to comprehend manuals and maintain work recordsPLEASE NOTE : Hours of work will fall within the evening
