Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Inspect products to determine the requirements for repair. Repair electronic equipment . Inspect and test electronic equipment and assemblies. Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power or specially designed tools. Diagnose and locate circuit, component and equipment faults. Test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning. Adjust, align, replace or repair electronic equipment and assemblies. Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports. Prepare cost estimates. Supervise other electronic equipment service technicians. Refer to schematic drawings or product manuals to repair parts. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Support for persons with disabilities: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities. Support for newcomers and refugees: Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.). Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.) . Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees . Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees . Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Support for Veterans: Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Veterans. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans . Support for Indigenous people: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers . Support for mature workers: Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination .
