*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice At MT Pleasant Dental Care located on 16th ave and 5th ST NW. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dental team with various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. *Duties* * Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. * Taking dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. * Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. * Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment options. * Manage appointment schedules and assist with front desk duties when required. * Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment. * Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and inventory management. * Experience with I/O scanner is an asset *Skills* * Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures. * Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix is preferred. * Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry. * Experience in pediatrics is a plus. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Excellent interpersonal skills for effective patient communication. * Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. * Experience as a dental receptionist is beneficial but not required. *Qualifications:* * Level II RDA Certificate * CPR/BLS certificate * Minimum 2 years experience as Dental Assistant; but would consider less experienced with maturity and responsible person.
