<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>We are seeking a motivated and skilled <strong>2nd Year Electrician Apprentice </strong>to join our client's team for residential electrical projects in Calgary, Alberta. The ideal candidate will assist Journeyman Electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in homes, ensuring safety and compliance with local electrical codes.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining residential electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, outlets, and circuit breakers.</li><li>Follow electrical blueprints and technical diagrams to complete assigned tasks.</li><li>Perform basic troubleshooting of electrical systems and report any issues to the Journeyman Electrician.</li><li>Help install electrical panels, switches, and outlets in new home construction or renovation projects.</li><li>Adhere to local electrical codes and safety standards, including Alberta Building Codes.</li><li>Prepare and organize materials, tools, and equipment on-site to support efficient work.</li><li>Collaborate with the project team to complete tasks within deadlines.</li><li>Ensure proper grounding and bonding of electrical systems.</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.</li><li>Assist with routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Currently enrolled in a recognized electrical apprenticeship program (2nd Year Apprentice).</strong></li><li>Basic understanding of electrical codes and safety procedures in residential projects.</li><li>Experience working in residential electrical installations or renovations is preferred.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical schematics.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and a commitment to learning.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Good physical condition and ability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments.</li><li>Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills and Competencies:</strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of basic electrical theory and residential wiring systems.</li><li>Familiarity with electrical tools such as multimeters, conduit benders, and wire strippers.</li><li>Strong communication skills to interact with Journeyman Electricians and team members.</li><li>Ability to follow instructions and learn new skills quickly.</li><li>Commitment to workplace safety and a proactive attitude toward safe work practices.</li></ul></div></div>
