Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a part-time (0.86 FTE) Education Assistant at Elmer Elson Elementary School, Mayerthorpe, Alberta.<p>Successful candidate responsibilities: Provide support to a student in the Kindergarten classroom<p> Follow the direction of the Inclusive Education Facilitator<p> Implement goals as outlined by the Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, and Behavioral SpecialistPreference will be given to candidates who: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents, and staff<p> Work collaboratively and co-operatively with teachers and other educational assistants in the classroom/school<p> Understand and carry out oral and written direction<p> Work independently with minimal instruction<p> Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills <p> Respect confidentiality <p> Practice professionalism with all EEE School students, staff, administration, parents, and community<p> Are aware of NGPS policies and administrative procedures<p> Have experience working with young children<p> Have an understanding of the teaching/learning process in an Early Childhood Environment<p> Have strong interpersonal skills and patience<p> Enjoy working in a team environmentStart Date: ASAPHours: 24 hours per week - 4 days/6 hours per dayApplication Process: Email a cover letter and resume, including references, by October 30, 2024, to:Mr. Nolan Andriuk, Principal<p>Elmer Elson Elementary School<p>Phone: 780-786-2268<p>nolan.andriuk@ngps.ca<p>If shortlisted, applicants must bring to the interview a Release of Results of Vulnerable Sector Check that is current within three (3) months. <p>We appreciate all applications, but we will only contact those who are shortlisted.- LocationMayerthorpe, AB
