RVS encourages applications from individuals who can help shape and embody our core values of Leadership, People, Community and Innovation, and support our vision that RVS is a world-class learning organization where all students achieve their absolute best. <p><p> <p><p>The Opportunity <p><p>Community Use Supervisors provide Rocky View Schools (RVS) supervision during community use and school sponsored extra-curricular activities occurring in RVS facilities. Community Use Supervisors ensure facilities are prepared and open in accordance with the rental agreements. <p><p>We are inviting applications for Community Use Supervisor positions for Cochrane RVS Schools in the Cochrane Area to provide support during community use activities in the evenings and on weekends, averaging 3-4 hrs/night (on-call). This is an excellent part-time opportunity. <p><p> <p>Responsibilities : <p><p><p> Acts as the RVS representative to direct the public to assigned areas for community use activities<p> Ensures facilities are open 15 minutes prior to scheduled arrival of groups and secured following<p> the scheduled activity start times<p> Limits facility access to those with a valid approved reason for being in the building<p> Enforces the approved Conditions of Use of the facility as outlined, and special requests are met<p> as indicated<p> Monitors participants to ensure they remain safely within the approved authorized areas of use<p> Performs light caretaking and cleaning duties within assigned areas in coordination with the<p> assigned Building Operator including but not limited to dust mopping of floors, spot mopping and<p> spills, returning furniture to rooms, removing garbage, and wiping counters and sinks<p> Ensures group safely departs the facility at scheduled end time<p> Keeps assigned sidewalks, steps and entrances free from ice and snow<p> Reports any groups not following the approved Conditions for Use <p> Demonstrates and models a genuine appreciation for, and understanding of, protocol, discretion,<p> and professionalism in RVS <p> <p><p><p> <p>Education and Experience: <p><p><p><p> Previous customer service experience is considered an asset<p> Previous cleaning experience is considered an asset <p> Previous experience within a school division is considered an asset??<p><p><p><p><p> <p>Knowledge and Skills: <p><p><p><p> Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a friendly atmosphere <p> Ability to successfully work independently with minimal supervision<p> Extremely responsible and dependable with demonstrated problem-solving skills<p> Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications<p><p><p><p><p>Pre-employment Requirements <p><p><p><p> The successful candidate(s) must submit a current Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employment<p><p>Open to: Internal and External applicants<p>How to Apply <p>We request all applications be placed through http://rockyview.simplication.com/.
