Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: On-site customer service. Urban area. Tasks: Conduct voltage, resistance and other tests using electrical test equipment. Refer to schematic drawings or product manuals to repair parts. Diagnose faults, using testing devices. Repair electrical appliances and components. Replace faulty components. Advise customers on work performed and condition of equipment. Equipment and machinery experience: Small appliances. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to distinguish between colours. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Fast-paced environment. Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Initiative. Organized.
