<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong>Position: B Pressure Welder (Tig Root) Reports to: Production Manager</strong></p><p><strong>Duties</strong></p><ul><li>Read and interpret work orders, modification procedures, and weld procedures.</li><li>Perform fit-ups, pressure containing welds, and multilayer overlay welds as required by the work order.</li><li>Welding procedures including GTAW, FCAW, SMAW, using a variety of materials.</li><li>Working hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.</li><li>Overtime and weekend work required.</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</strong></p><ul><li>Able to produce "x-ray quality" weldments</li><li>Able to read and interpret Prints, WPS, Specifications, Work Instructions</li><li>Fabrication & Mechanical an asset</li><li>Pipe Experience, Spooling Experience, Roll Welds, (TIG Root required)</li><li>Valve / Valve Modification Experience an asset</li><li>Ability to stand, crouch, bend for 8-hour shifts</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 40 Lbs. on occasion</li><li>Basic computer skills</li><li>Experience operating a forklift</li><li>Problem solving skills</li><li>Overtime work as required</li><li>Ability to work as a team with positive open-minded attitude</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li></ul><p><strong>Education and Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>High school or GED required (or equivalent)</li><li>3+ years of <span class="long-word">welding/fabrication</span> experience</li></ul><p> </p></div>Company Description<div>GCM provides extensive valve modifications, cleaning, coating, inspection and testing services.
