We are hiring hard working licensed technician/mechanic or a qualified 3rd year or higher apprentice for a busy automotive repair shop on the South side of Edmonton, AB. Candidates must have their own hand tools and be able to diagnose and repair accordingly. Good time management, adaptability, innovation, good communication skills to discuss repairs with customers if needed and attention to details are a must. The right candidate will be reliable and able to work 40hr per week Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, rare evenings and weekends as needed, hold a valid drivers license with clean abstract. Must be able to work as team member as well as independently. We work on most years and models of vehicles as well as some classics. Competitive wages and a great work environment! *We?re looking for:* *-* Must possess a provincially recognized Journeyman/Journeywoman Automotive Service Technician Certificate or be an indentured apprentice. * Committed individuals who take pride in their work * Believe in customer service and satisfaction * Red seal Journeyman technicians * 4th Year Apprentice technicians * 3rd Year Apprentice technicians * Motivated for success and best results * Professional demeanour and strong work ethic * Excellent communication and organizational skills * Efficient problem-solving skills * Ability to work individually and as part of a team * High level of integrity and work ethic * Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods, and using power and hand-held equipment * Strong technical skills and knowledge of industry standards * Ability to champion a healthy and safe work environment * Must possess a valid driver's license and safe driving demonstrated through a valid driver?s abstract report *Benefits:* · Casual dress · Family owned and operated facility · On site parking and close to transit · Energetic, positive workplace culture · *Duties ?* * Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles. * Inspect motors in operation, road test vehicles, and test systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults. * Adjust, repair or replace parts and components, including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems. * Mentor, coach, train and support the development of apprentices in the facility. * Maintain the highest quality standard, following best practices, compliance, and trade regulations.
