Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Load and unload goods. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Dump truck. Flatbed. Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles). Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Drive manual transmission vehicle. Travel expenses paid by employer. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Overtime required. Repetitive tasks. Sitting. Own tools/equipment: Hard hat. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Flexibility. Organized. Reliability. Team player. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
