*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. *Duties* * Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. * Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use. * Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. * Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the dental software systems. * Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. * Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office. * Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and inventory management. * Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience. *Skills* * Proficiency in dental assisting practices and procedures. * Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is preferred. * Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is a plus. * Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * Previous experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous.
