<p>Hello, I'm Guillaume, senior recruitment and business development consultant at Fed IT, a recruitment firm specializing in IT recruitment. <br>I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent in Montreal and Montérégie. Our team of IT experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover IT, development, business intelligence and infrastructure.</p><p>I'm looking for a senior computer technician for one of our customers, located in Montreal West. This is a permanent position, in hybrid mode. Hourly salary to be discussed, depending on experience - on a 40h/week basis. This position is on a fixed-term contract for a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of extension or permanent status depending on performance and business needs.</p><p><br>Your responsibilities will include : <br>* Maintain and manage IT systems, including servers, networks and workstations <br>* Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems encountered by users <br>* Manage incidents and level 2 and 3 support requests, in collaboration with the support team <br>* Install, configure and update hardware and software <br>* Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects, such as system migrations, new software deployments, etc. <br>* Ensure the security of IT systems, including management of firewalls, antivirus and other security solutions <br>* Document technical procedures and configurations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge bases <br>* Train and mentor junior technicians on the team <br>* Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and propose appropriate solutions <br>* Maintain a technology watch to recommend improvements to existing systems</p><p>* Degree in computer science <br>* At least 5 years' professional experience as an IT technician or in a similar position <br>* Proficiency in Windows, Linux and/or MacOS environments - knowledge of AD, Office 365 <br>* Solid network administration skills (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.) <br>* Experience in server management (physical and virtual) and storage systems <br>* Proven competence in IT security and risk management <br>* Excellent ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems <br>* Good communication skills, both written and oral <br>* Ability to work independently and manage several tasks simultaneously <br>* Professional certification (e.g. CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) is an asset <br> <br>You can contact me at <br>See all our job offers at www.fedit.ca <br>Only those candidates whose applications have been selected will be contacted.</p>- LocationMontréal, QC
