DEPARTMENT: Forensic Psychiatry - Community ReintegrationBARGAINING UNIT: NBNUJOB TYPE: Permanent full-timeSCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual essentialNOTE: Applicants must attach their Resumé to the application form.JOB SUMMARY :The clinical resource nurse participates in the coordination, development, implementation and evaluation of nursing care delivery to a psychiatric clientele in order to provide therapeutically competent, ethical and safe care. REQUIREMENTS : Registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick; Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Three years' experience in psychiatric nursing care; Certificate in psychiatric nursing / mental health (CNA) would be an asset; Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certificate; Good knowledge of the following computer applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Training in non-violent crisis intervention or commitment to take such training within set timelines; Prevention and Management of Suicidal Behaviours in a Psychiatric Hospital Setting or commitment to take such training within set timelines; Ability to manage stressful situations and to set priorities; Proven ability to solve problems, make decisions and resolve conflicts; Proven leadership skills; Initiative and sound judgment; Ability to teach and transmit knowledge to others; Individual or group facilitation skills; Ability to act as a change agent;Ability to work independently and as a team member;Physical ability to perform assigned duties;Good previous work history (performance and attendance);Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
