Powell?s Supermarket Ltd. *? Now Hiring! Cashier* Are you a motivated, quick learner and skilled to work in a fast-paced environment? If so, Powell?s Supermarket is the place for you! We offer health and dental benefits package, full-time/part-time hours and are continuously looking for new members to join our outstanding team. *Job Responsibilities:* * Greet customers in a pleasant and helpful manner. * Assist customers waiting for check out in a grocery store * Scan items, bag grocery items, request price checks * Collect payments * Responsible for counting contents of cash register drawer at the end of each shift * Must be able to stand for long periods of time * Must follow all Occupational Health and Safety requirements at all times * Keep cash area neat and tidy * Place products back on the appropriate shelf when left at the cash register * All other duties as assigned *Desired Skills and Experience:* * High School Diploma or other Equivalencies will be considered * Must possess strong organizational & time management skills * Self-motivated * Exceptional customer service skills * Have a positive attitude * Must be able to work with minimum supervision * Provide 2-3 work related references * Previous cashier experience considered an asset *Physical Environment*: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job duties. * Requires the ability to reach, bend, balance, lift and transport various objects, at times could weigh up to 30 lbs.
