Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Operate X-ray, radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment. Perform scheduled maintenance and minor repairs on equipment. Position patients. Apply radiation protection measures. Explain procedures and side effects of radiation. Perform basic verification and quality control checks on radiographic and film processing equipment. Provide appropriate care and monitoring of the patient during the examination. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Certification of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists. Certification by a provincial or territorial association. Security and safety: Tuberculosis test. Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Manual dexterity. Personal suitability: Dependability. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Interpersonal awareness. Reliability. Team player. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
