Job details
Tasks: -Develop & implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children. -Lead Activities by telling stories, teaching songs. -Provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music & physical activity.-Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing & toilet habits.-Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor.-knowledge of licensing regulations.-Establish guidelines for behaviour.-Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members.-Establish & maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.-Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.-Assist in daily cleaning as per regulations. Qualifications Child development assistant:* No Level Required, having Level 1 is an asset.Child development worker: ECE Level 1,2,3 requiredSafe Food Handling: not require but willing to obtainAll Candidates must provide or willing to obtain CPR Level-C: with in a 1 month periodAll Candidates must provide Criminal record check/ vulnerable sector check: Required before start if 18 of age or older Being Consistent & Positive is a huge asset to working with children. Monday- Friday.open 7:30 am - 6:00 pm All STATS & Weekends OFFClosed for Christmas Break.
